Rafa Nadal is just awesome at Aussie!
Rafa began the Australian Open in awesome fashion (no pun intended, you know how I feel about his new sexy Nikes, NOT!) by trouncing Belgium Christophe Rochus who had a hard time just getting on the scoreboard until the 9th game. Rafa squashed Rochus in one hour and 17 minutes with a 6-0, 6-2, 6-2 win! My Rafa is playing sooooo good and his knee is well, thankyouverymuch!
After the match, we went out to eat; we started with tapas, then had espinagades (yeech, I don't lika eel, but don't tell Rafa, ok?); we finished with ensaimadas. I never had such sweetness before and now it's my favorite kind of food. When I slipped off to the Bitc Ladies Room after we ate, I was horrified to see a white ring around my mouth. Not to worry, tho, it was confectionary sugar. LOL. Then Rafa stuck me in his pocket and took me home.

Murray confident after Nadal win
-('')- La La La lalalala! I caaaaaan't HEAR youuuuuu! La LA La la LA! -(")-
*taking fingers out of my ears now*... (")
Soooo.. Andy Murray is showing his mettle off the starting line. Woo-woo! Maybe he holds adrenaline like a camel. We'll see. Meanwhile, Rafa is just warming up - so don't hold your breath waiting for Murray to be the Nadal copycat of 2009. The way I look at it is Murray still has something to prove while Rafa, and Roger Federer for that matter, have already proven their tennis prowess. Both men have the capability of flattening any opponent on the court, and just like any tennis great, will have good days and bad days. That's why I had to chuckle at this line by Murray:
"When we play in the Australian Open, I know I'll be able to beat him in a tight match," said the Scot.
What sparkling confidence! Good for heem. But my Ruffie thinks he played very well for having been out for several months with his knee injury and he said that thees match "was a very good test for the knee. It was two hour 45 minutes of high-quality (tennis), and I'm feeling very well."
Yes, Rafa is feeling.. mahvelous, my dears. So watch out, Andy! This is just the beginning of thees 2009 season; Rafa ees just begun!

RAFA NADAL's Stunning win over Davydenko: RAWRR, RAFA!
Oooooo, I'm so excited I'm going to burst! Rafa is victorious over Davydenko, winning 6-2, 6-3, in the Capitala World Tennis Championship semi-final in Abu Dhabi, UAE on Friday! Davydenko started by breaking Rafa in thees first game taking away any point, but Rafa came back quickly and tromped Davydenko taking the first set 6-2. Davydenko broke Rafa in thees second set, too, but that only fired Rafa up and he took off like a rocket to win 6-3! You GO, Rafa! He's off to thees final to face off weeth #4 Andy Murray after he prevailed in 3 sets 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) against Roger Federer. We can say Friday's win is a stunning start to thees 2009 season for Rafa!
Now - before anyone comes to Contessa ChiChi too eager to gossip about Down-the-Line! catching singer Shakira flirting weeth my Rafa at thees game - I know, I know, the photo shows Shakira looking a little too interested at Rafa for MY comfort - and - Down the Line! hinting that Xisca could take Shak down if she makes a move on Rafa - well, what about thees? What about Contessa ChiChi taking them both down for moving in on my territory, hunh?!
Lissen, I ask you, does Rafa look jubilant to you in this photo with Xisca? No. I didn't theenk so.
On the other hand, when he's with me, hes little gorgeous, Contessa ChiChi - l-oo-k how happy and affectionate he is!!
Need I say anything more?! No. I didn't theenk so.
Didn't Rafa look dev in his new Nike duds? (/sarcasm) O, well. Don't fret, Nike! I theenk his head gear rocks!!
