Rafa Nadal bests Jurgen Melzer to reach French Open Final

My Ruffie knocked the stuffing outta thees Swedish Jurgen Melzer een their semi-final match today which pits Rafa against Robin Soderling in Sunday's final at the French Open - giving Rafa a chance to win hees fifth FO title.  You weel remember it was Soderling who keeled Rafa's dream of winning last year's French Open by knocking heem out in the 4th round! So watch out, Robin, Ruffie has the fire in his belly for fulfilling his dream thees year..at Roland Garros.

Vamos, Rafa!

Ahh.. si. Picking up where I left off ..

..regarding Mel Content walking een on my party.. all decked out in hees usual sourball attitude.  If you don't stop by here every day you probably don't know that Mel is my handler.  He calls the shots.  And no, NO, I did not like having to go undercover with Christopher Chance, the Human Target, at this time.  But I am on-call basis with the agency. And I'd miss most of my Ruffie's matches if Chance didn't wrap things up in an hour when he works with me..  as things pan out now, I'll manage, just barely, to see the final at FO!

Oh, and another thing, you should know Rafa knows nothing about my work as an undercover agent.  Nothing.  Nada.  Zada. Zero. Zilch.  By the way - did I mention Rafa doesn't know N.O.T.H.I.N.G. about my being an undercover agent ?!?  So don't go shootin' yer big mouth off about my extracurricular activities, k!?  Think you get thees picture now, si?

Federer eats dust as clay court King Rafa Nadal wins Madrid Open.. \o/

CELEBRATE! CELEBRATE! DAAAANCE TO THE MUUUUUSIC!

Rafa avenges last year's final defeat to Roger Federer by a stellar performance at thees Madrid Open; 6-4 7-6 (7/5) een 2 hours and 11minutes of rarified prowess, giving Rafa record-breaking 18th ATP Masters crown and further extending hees astounding successful run on clay for 168 wins out of 174 matches since 2005!

Not only is Ruffie in his best form after defeating (ok, pummeling Dasco profusely) fellow countryman Fernando Verdasco 6-0 6-1, Ruffie won his 6th consecutive Monte Carlo Masters title! Aaaaand, it marks the end of an 11-month title drought for heem; last trophy won was at the Rome Masters last year. Maybe Rafa's fans can build a ramp from last year's Rome Masters win over Rafa's drought to the Monte Carlo Masters win. Like thees drought didn't even exist, get it? Whaddyasay?  Whatever..  Without a doubt, my Ruffie has come back from the Dread!

It was a fierce battle between thees top superstars.  Even though the 2nd set went to tie-break and eet looked like Fed came out of thees gate swinging weiners, Ruffie hit back long, deep and continuously to secure thees set, won thees match and the 39th title of his career.

[Well.  You weren't much help Benito. Last time I invite you over to Rafa match party. Harumph.  Alright, already!  Enough. I'm okay. The most important thing we can do is party hardy on behalf of Rafa's magnifico win, 6th win in a row, guys!

There was so much excitement here ..drinks were flowing ..Slappy's eyes were glowing ..we're all having a great, fun time, toasting Rafa's win (..also sharing a moment of silence for fellow Spaniard Fernando Verdasco who sustained thorough thrashing from Rafa who won 6-0 6-1 for a total of 1 hour and 26 minutes. It was hard to watch Verdasco who could not elicit favor from heaven even when down on hees knees ..). Rafa's win ees fantastico!  It's Ruffie's first tournament win since Rome last year - dogged (no pun intended, sure) by knee and abdominal injuries.  And, if anyone thinks he couldn't return to ees pre-injuries state of play, this Monte Carlo match looked very much like thees Rafa we all came to love for his outstanding prowess on the court! Si?  Monte Carlo is Ruffie's favorite tournament.  So, now you know what an outstanding party we were having after Rafa's win.. It was just at the height of our jubilation when Mel Content walked into the room..

amigos ..can't talk loud ..Rafa Nadal is in mucho concentrational mode ;>

Shh.. Contessa ChiChi cannot talk above whisper; Ruffie ees in hard concentration, steeling himself, instructing hees mind of his thoughts about winning a sixth straight Monte Carlo Masters title!  And thusly - making some history on thees earth.  (..and just maybe we get lucky, see more of Raffie and less of Prez-O on the airwaves *winky dink*.) Raffie has visions of kicking the asset belong to Novak Djokovic again if they both make it to finals. Rafa won last year, causing a boo-boo in the Serb's mind. Ees still bandaged, by the way, si?

psst..I'll be back later.. my cousin Mal just dropped in unannounced. Which means ees in hot water.  O gnashing teeth, what now has the little monkey got into trouble over!  *rolling eyes*

Roddick bests my Raffie!

Hola!

Waaaaah! Waaaaah! Sez somebodies. You'll never see or hear Rafa go Waaaaah! He's a gracious loser. The man is the epitome of Grace. Some have eet and some don't. More Don'ts than Dos, amigo. See? Rafa has class. We have a Superman, Superdog, Superduperpooperscooper, but now we have [drum roll pleeze] Superclass!! And it ees Raffie!

The way Contessa ChiChi sees it, Andy Roddick has upped his game - a lot - over this year. Roddick is back! He's destined to whoop some asset belong to other baller, si? Too bad Roddick play aggressively and manage to zap Raffie out of hees comfort zone using different strategy. Roddick lost to Raffie the last 3 matches they played. Today, Andy say, 'Enough! Today ees my day and my win!' Good for you, Andy! Someday, at sometime, somewhere you might be member in my Raffie's league.

You see, amigos, Raffie is about sportzmansheep. He's not about.. smashing ees racket.. or throwing eet down court.. or.. hitting himself over the head until blood squirts out all over hees handsome hair.. or outfit. No. Rafa ees about Discipline, Determination and Dignity. How can he be any other way than perfect? After all, he is with moi! Ta Ta!

[Psssst. Andy. Come closer. [Andy give Contessa ChiChi hees ear.] Andy. I theenk Rafa let you win. He like you.]

Rafa Nadal defeated by Marin Cilic in semi-final

Ai-yi-yi! Hola! Amigos, Raffie's match with Cilic in thees semi-final didn't go too well for Rafa; he got run over by thees Cilic-train in an hour and some. Rafa jumped hees rails on the 6-1 6-3 line. Vaca santa! And just so you know - Contessa ChiChi was no where near Rafa during thees match! So don' blame me! I'm not bringing heem bad luck. Maybe later, but not now, ees good? I theenk Rafa is still trying to find hees game after being slowed down by his knee and tummy injuries. He has such a strong competitive nature and doesn't like to be away from thees matches for too long. Now I have to ask you, does Rafa seem cranky to you on court? I hear some commenters say Rafa (and Andy Roddick, too) is complaining about the length and pace of the ATP season and suggest that ballers need an off-season to recharge their batteries, wouldn't you think?. What's wrong weeth that? I think they have a point. And hey you! Rafa doesn't make any excuses for losing thees match. In fact, he said of Cilic:
"Cilic is good, is young and has a very good serve but if you are losing 6-1 6-3 there are a lot of things you are doing wrong - mentally I probably wasn't there*."
Rafa is not going to let thees loss get in his head. No, he is going to go forward and play hees best and put hees losses behind him. Rafa is quite mature and centered for hees age and thees lost matches will not do a number on him. He will be back as Numero Uno very soon. His injuries are a product of the past. So, get over eet and stop needling my Rafa or I will have to get up into your face. And,trust me, you don't want Contessa ChiChi to lose her cool.
*Rafa must stop thinking about me during matches, no?

Contessa ChiChi let go as Rafa air coach.. ;>

Well. Eet's been decided thees Contessa ChiChi will no longer be coaching Rafa. Harumph. Some Meathead ees blaming me for Rafa's string of eenjuries?!? *smash* ApPARENTly, someone ees jealous! What else can eet be? Image by squiggledoo p.s. Ruffie not too happy 'bout eet.
