I'm inconsolable *sob* Loss is always difficult

I.. I.. I just.. I'm having trouble finding the words to express the loss.. of dear *sob* Loki! Such a beautiful friend of all Chis everywhere. My own heart goes out to Mickey Rourke with love and sadness over the loss of his beloved companion, Loki. Look at that face. That is a face that begs to be licked. Si. Smothered in licks and slobber. If only for the reason Loki is Chi, si? Let me just tell you, Chis are the best* of all furkinds. Chis are: Alert a la "Contessa ChiChi" "Peanut"-sized Graceful Swift-moving Saucy Observant Bold Adorable Spunky Protective Mischievous Social High-strung Endowed with unique personalities (heh heh - not a chi) Intelligent Loyal Moody Playful Arrogant Sweet-tempered Quintessential Furkind *[The very best of all furkinds are Rat Terriers for which I have been blessed to have in my blood line *sniff, sniff*] So Mickey, please accept my heart-felt condolences over your loss of your Beloved Loki. You can find much comfort in knowing that you gave her the best life she could possibly have on earth by your constant love, care, and kindness, not only towards her, but all her furfriends as well! Says Rourke: "Loki is deeply missed but with me in spirit. I feel very blessed that she fell asleep peacefully in my arms." My Rafa suffered a loss, too, when he lost his last match to Murray, but this loss pales in comparison to Rourke losing his Loki. For me, reverence for all living creatures will always surpass the loss of a game. I can't speak for Rafa personally, but this man Rafa doesn't even like bull fights, one of his country's sports, so I think in my heart he would agree with me. Rafa can always make up for his lost match. We can never 'make up' for loss of Life. Truth. But, theese ees just Contessa ChiChi telling it like it is. Mwah, mwah. [That's licks to you humanoids, k? hee hee] Now - for something sweet: Farewell, Loki.. We will miss you, simpatico!

Whew! Rafa Nadal Squeaks Through to Semi-Final after Beating Tsonga Friday

Whew! Rafa is definitely getting a workout on the courts at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam; his path to the quarters not being an easy one. Both Simone Bolello of Italy and Grigor Dimitrov pushed Rafa to the third set; the last set with Dimitrov lasting 2 and 1/2 hours. Rafa had trouble picking up his rhythm because Grigor played fast and hard, leaving Rafa with the impression that Dimitro is headed to the Top 10. His win, 6-4, 6-7, 6-4, against Frenchman Jo-Wilifried Tsonga's 26 aces today also pushed Rafa the distance to a third set; he took the opening set but Tsonga fought back to win the second set on a tiebreak, but he couldn't put pressure on Rafa's serve in the decider and Rafa clinched victory on his first match point giving him the win which takes Rafa into the Semi-Finals where he'll take on Gael Monfils who beat his fellow Frenchman Julien Benneteau 7-6, 6-1. I chuckled when Rafa told me, "Tsonga has an unbelievable good service. It was really heavy," because it doesn't mean anything if my Ruffie wins the match regardless, riiiiight!?! *Rawrrrrrr*

Rafaku by Contessa ChiChi

Rafaku = Rafa Haiku
Rafa Nadal is the Quintessential Sportsman- role model for youth.

Rafa Nadal is just awesome at Aussie!

Rafa began the Australian Open in awesome fashion (no pun intended, you know how I feel about his new sexy Nikes, NOT!) by trouncing Belgium Christophe Rochus who had a hard time just getting on the scoreboard until the 9th game. Rafa squashed Rochus in one hour and 17 minutes with a 6-0, 6-2, 6-2 win! My Rafa is playing sooooo good and his knee is well, thankyouverymuch! After the match, we went out to eat; we started with tapas, then had espinagades (yeech, I don't lika eel, but don't tell Rafa, ok?); we finished with ensaimadas. I never had such sweetness before and now it's my favorite kind of food. When I slipped off to the Bitc Ladies Room after we ate, I was horrified to see a white ring around my mouth. Not to worry, tho, it was confectionary sugar. LOL. Then Rafa stuck me in his pocket and took me home. Photo by C Verwaal

Murray confident after Nadal win

-('')- La La La lalalala! I caaaaaan't HEAR youuuuuu! La LA La la LA! -(")- *taking fingers out of my ears now*... (")
Soooo.. Andy Murray is showing his mettle off the starting line. Woo-woo! Maybe he holds adrenaline like a camel. We'll see. Meanwhile, Rafa is just warming up - so don't hold your breath waiting for Murray to be the Nadal copycat of 2009. The way I look at it is Murray still has something to prove while Rafa, and Roger Federer for that matter, have already proven their tennis prowess. Both men have the capability of flattening any opponent on the court, and just like any tennis great, will have good days and bad days. That's why I had to chuckle at this line by Murray:
"When we play in the Australian Open, I know I'll be able to beat him in a tight match," said the Scot.
What sparkling confidence! Good for heem. But my Ruffie thinks he played very well for having been out for several months with his knee injury and he said that thees match "was a very good test for the knee. It was two hour 45 minutes of high-quality (tennis), and I'm feeling very well."
Yes, Rafa is feeling.. mahvelous, my dears. So watch out, Andy! This is just the beginning of thees 2009 season; Rafa ees just begun!
My friend Juan, on the left, thinks we should all calm down and give the new kid on the block some room to prove he has what it takes and both Fed and Rafa want competitve players and not an easy trounce on the court.. hey, don't look at me! Give Juan the what-not!!

RAFA NADAL's Stunning win over Davydenko: RAWRR, RAFA!

Oooooo, I'm so excited I'm going to burst! Rafa is victorious over Davydenko, winning 6-2, 6-3, in the Capitala World Tennis Championship semi-final in Abu Dhabi, UAE on Friday! Davydenko started by breaking Rafa in thees first game taking away any point, but Rafa came back quickly and tromped Davydenko taking the first set 6-2. Davydenko broke Rafa in thees second set, too, but that only fired Rafa up and he took off like a rocket to win 6-3! You GO, Rafa! He's off to thees final to face off weeth #4 Andy Murray after he prevailed in 3 sets 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) against Roger Federer. We can say Friday's win is a stunning start to thees 2009 season for Rafa! Now - before anyone comes to Contessa ChiChi too eager to gossip about Down-the-Line! catching singer Shakira flirting weeth my Rafa at thees game - I know, I know, the photo shows Shakira looking a little too interested at Rafa for MY comfort - and - Down the Line! hinting that Xisca could take Shak down if she makes a move on Rafa - well, what about thees? What about Contessa ChiChi taking them both down for moving in on my territory, hunh?! Lissen, I ask you, does Rafa look jubilant to you in this photo with Xisca? No. I didn't theenk so. On the other hand, when he's with me, hes little gorgeous, Contessa ChiChi - l-oo-k how happy and affectionate he is!! Need I say anything more?! No. I didn't theenk so. Didn't Rafa look dev in his new Nike duds? (/sarcasm) O, well. Don't fret, Nike! I theenk his head gear rocks!!

JohnnyMac has a new racket

Combining hees love for thees racket as well as making a helluva racket, John McEnroe made both happen in thees District of Columbia, thees past July, "entertaining a stadium full of tennis fans when hees first-place New York Sportimes took on thees Washington Kastles." The NY Sportimes lost thees match [waaah!], but I'm sure McEnroe found some new rock fans after hearing hees guitar riffs (well,, he did study under Eric Clapton,, so..). Besides, thees poster does ask "who are the greatest players in tennis today," riiight?
Poster courtesy of Madame Lamb You can hear and see Johnny Mac play hees guitar on YouTube. Not bad, eh?!

Rafa Nadal to Aussie Open next month

Rich, over at Down the Line! got a jump on me on his Video Vault. He's running a reel on Rafa in Nike's 2009 Spring Collection that he'll be wearing at the Aussie Open next month. You know I hate those Nike nappies on him! I have nothing against Nike personally - they offer great products that suit other players just honkey-dorey. Rafa isn't one of them, tho. I'm trying to talk Rafa out of this gig, but he can be pretty bull-headed at times, so... but I'll see what I can do! Anyway, go have a look-see at Down the Line! for Rafa's fashion show. Just don't tell me what ya think about Rafa's bod enclothed in them, fair?

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas everyone! Are you broke yet? Did you blow all your hard-earned dough and not get a gift from that one special person? I hate that! Guess what?!? I still have all my moolah. I just got out of prison, er, I mean the hellhole. They put me in that box. I did solitary, too. I just got out - so I didn't go Christmas shopping. And, guess what? It feels good, man. Instead, I get to loll around tomorrow thinking about what Christmas means to me.. instead of tearing open paper-crap only to find the same ol' bone they gave me last year! hmmm... less see now.. I got me 5 bones.. and.. 3.. rattles. I think the rattles were for the kid. The kid got my bones. I hate that kid. Just kidding. I don't hate anyone. I mean, what would Jesus do? Jesus would say 'Peace be with you'. That means all of us ought to live in peace. Everybody helping everybody else. Hate's bad for you. Badder than not getting any presents under the tree. Just kidding. What could be badder than not getting any presents under the tree? That's right!!! Not having a tree! I got me a tree. See!? And, if you'll notice, there's no gifts under the tree. But.. Don't cry for me, Argentina! Even if there's no bone under the tree.. I can still eat the Christmas bulbs! Just kidding. I'm not that stupid. I meant, I'll eat the tinsel. Ho! Ho! Ho! No, I don't need any gifts under the tree to celebrate the birth of Jesus. His birth is written in my heart. I'm a Christian dog, just like my Bro, Rascal. Rascal is a practicing, praying Christian furkid. We go to church together when we can. And, yes, we know there are dogs in heaven. We love Jesus because He loves all creation. Trixie and me and some of our friends went to Rafa's Christmas Party tonight. Photo by EllenJo on Flickr Photo by Flinschrod on Flickr At his party, Rafa presented me with a gift as soon as we were able to slip away from his guests. We went out on the veranda and stood near the railing holding paws hands. Our eyes locked for what seemed like an eternity; the spell broken only as he slid his gift into my paws. I didn't open it there; I was afraid someone might see me unwrapping his gift and then *POW* all those dern light bulbs start going off..soooo.. I just quickly licked his cheek and we went back inside to dance. the. tango. And tangle we did. Then the rumba. I had to kick off my heels. The samba dislocated my hips; that was the end of our dancing. Where that ended, drinking began. First I sipped some milk out of my slipper.. and eventually wound up gulping all the rummed-up egg nog I could find in the house. O, Lordy. That was a mistake. After several hours, I had to call it "a night" and Ruffie summoned the limo to take me and my honchos back to the hacienda. I was a fright to see, they tell me. By the way, do I look fat in this outfit?!? Photo by Whitogreen on Flickr The last straw was when some big ol' fat, bearded guy swooped me up in his arms as I was about to relieve myself under his chair, I guess,, .. and I swear he had me ina choke hold,, swearing under his breath, calling me a ho. But I really don't remember too much about that last hour at the party, but Rafa called me this morning to tell me he loved the pic of me on Santa's lap. Ho! Ho! Ho! Photo by Byron Raphael on Flickr I hope you're better behaved than me and don't you dare drink and drive. Have a good one, All.
